Pattern
  • IBPS P.O. The exam is conducted in three different stages as listed below:

     1. Preliminary Examination
     2. Main Exam
     3. Interview

Preliminary Examination
  • The syllabus for all the sections of the Preliminary Examination is as follows:

     Candidates have to qualify in each of the three tests by securing minimum cut-off marks to be decided by IBPS.
     Adequate number of candidates will be shortlisted for the Online Main Examination in each category as decided by IBPS based on the requirements.
Mains Exam
  • • The total time allotted for IBPS PO 2022 Main Objective Test has also been changed from 140 minutes to 180 minutes and 30 minutes for the descriptive test. Overall, the timing of IBPS PO Mains is 3 hours 30 minutes.

    • No separate paper will be conducted for Computer Application. Reasoning has been integrated with the Computer Aptitude section and this entire section will consist of 45 questions carrying a total of 60 marks.

    • IBPS introduced descriptive paper in its main exam where candidates will be judged on the basis of their written skills. Candidates will be given an essay and a letter to write which will be of 25 marks and which will have to be completed in 30 minutes time.

Interview Process
  • Candidates who qualify for the main exam are finally called for the interview process by IBPS. The interview process will carry 100 marks and the minimum marks to qualify for this round will be 40% which will be reduced to 35% for the candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ OBC/ PWD categories.
notes:
  1. Candidate will get 1 mark for each correct answer in Preliminary and Main Examination
  2. 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer in both preliminary and main examination.
  3. However, no marks will be deducted in case of unanswered questions or questions which were not attempted.
