Eligibility Criteria
Age (As on 01-04-2023)::
  • Minimum:    20 years
  • Maximum:   28 years
  • i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-04-1995 and not later than 02-04-1995 (both dates inclusive)

  • Relaxation of Upper age limi:

    SC/ ST 5 years
    OBC 3 years
    PwBD (Gen/ EWS) 10 years
    PwBD (SC/ST) 15 years
    PwBD (OBC) 13 years
    Ex-Servicemen / Disabled Ex-Servicemen Actual period of service rendered in defense services + 3 years, (8 years for Disabled ExServicemen belonging to SC/ST) subject to max. age of 50 years
    Widows, Divorced women and women judicially separated from their husbands & who are not remarried 7 years (subject to maximum age limit of 35 years for General/ EWS, 38 years for OBC & 40 years for SC/ST candidates)
    Trained Apprentices of SBI SC/ST - 6 years, OBC - 4 years, GEN/ EWS - 1 year, PwBD (SC/ST) – 16 years, PwBD (OBC) – 14 years, PwBD (Gen/EWS) - 11 years
Educational Qualifications:
  • Graduation in any discipline from a recognised University or any equivalent qualification recognised as such by Central Government
  • Candidates having integrated dual degree (IDD) certificate should ensure that the date of passing the IDD is on or before 31.12.2023.
  • Those who are in the final year/ semester of their graduation may also apply provisionally subject to the condition that, if provisionally selected, they will have to produce proof of having passed the graduation examination on or before 31.12.2023.

Nationality/ Citizenship:
  • A candidate must be -
    • a Citizen of India
      OR
    • a subject of Nepal
      OR
    • a subject of Bhutan
      OR
    • a Tibetan Refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently setting in India
      OR
    • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided that a candidate belonging to categories (ii), (iii), (iv) & (v) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
Number of Attempts:
  • IBPS Attempts are not counted in Clerk exam. Candidates need not worry about their efforts for the exam.
