Stenographer Grade 'C' and 'D' हिंदी में

Pattern
The SSC Stenographer exam is conducted in two tiers:
  • Tier - I  Computer-based test
  • Tier - II Shorthand skill test
  • Tier - I Computer-based test
     The Computer Based Examination will consist of Objective Type, Multiple choice questions only. The questions will be set both in English & Hindi.

  •  There will be 1 mark is alloted for each correct answer.
  •  There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

  • Tier - II Shorthand skill test
  •   Shorthand skill test conducted on both paper and computer. The candidates will be dictated a passage which they have to note down on paper and then transcribe it on a computer. The language of the dictation can either be Hindi or English as chosen by the candidate while filling the application form. Failing to fill the language of dictation, the candidates will then have to take the skill test in English.

  •  The Dictation for the candidates will be as per the following speeds:
    Grade/Post Speed (words per minute) Duration
    Stenographer Grade ‘C’ 100 w.p.m 10 mins
    Stenographer Grade ‘D’ 80 w.p.m 10 mins
  •  After taking the notes on the paper the candidates will then have to transcribe the passage on the computer. The time allotted for transcribing is given in the table below:

     Candidates who opt to take the Stenography Test in Hindi will be required to learn English Stenography and vice versa after their appointment, failing which their probation may not be cleared by appointing departments. Candidates have to work as English/ Hindi stenographers as per the functional requirement of the User Office irrespective of the medium of Skill Test of candidate during the examination.
