Eligibility Criteria

Age (As on 01-07-2022)::

Minimum: 18 years
Maximum: 40 years
i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 02-07-1982 and not later than 01-07-2004 (both dates inclusive)

Relaxation of Upper age limi:

Other Backward Classes (Non-Creamy Layer)	3 years
Persons With Benchmark Disabilities	5 years

Educational Qualifications:

12th Class or any equivalent exam. Graduate candidates from any discipline can also apply. Qualifying UP PET is compulsory to apply for UP Rajasva Lekhpal

Work experience:

No prior experience required.

Nationality/ Citizenship:

A candidate must be -
- a Citizen of India
  or
- The subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  or
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
  or
- Indian who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
  or

Number of Attempts:

There is no bar of restrictions on the number of attempts for the UP Lekhpal Exam.
