UPSSSC - Preliminary Examination Test (PET)

Notification 2021


Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Service Selection Commission (UPSSSC) has released UPSSSC PET notification. UPSSSC PET exam is being conducted as an Eligibility Test for the recruitment of Group B and C posts including UP Assistant Statistical Officer, UP Lekhpal, UP Village Development Officer, etc. Once the application process is completed, the government authorities will shortlist the most eligible candidates for the mains exam to be given for the respective post that one has applied for under the UPSSSC.

After the implementation of PET, the selection process for any UPSSSC recruitment will be as follows:
↪ Scoring minimum qualifying marks in PET written exam
  ↪ Main Exam of the concerned post
   ↪ Interview/Skill Test (if applicable)
    ↪ Document Verification

Eligibility

Age (As on 01-07-2022):
  • Minimum: 18 years
  • Maximum: 40 years
  • i.e. A candidate must have been born not earlier than 01-07-1982 and not later than 01-07-2004 (both dates inclusive)
  • Relaxation of Upper age limit:

Educational Qualifications:
  • The candidate should have passed their High School (10th) from a recognized school to be eligible for appearing for the Preliminary Eligibility Test
Experience
  • No prior experience required.

  • A candidate must be -

Pattern

  • The exam pattern as per the recent notice released for the PET is as follows:
  • The exam will consist of objective type multiple choice questions
  • A total of 100 such questions will be asked.
  • The duration of the exam shall be 2 hours.
  • Candidates will be awarded 1 mark for each correct answer and 0.25 marks will be deducted for each wrong answer
  • The difficulty of questions for topics from sr. no. 1 to 9 shall be as per NCERT Secondary/Senior Secondary level.
  • The exam will consist of questions from Elementary Mathematics, Logical Ability, Analysis of Statistics and Graphs, General Knowledge, Science, Hindi, etc.
